What do I need to start?
You begin your experience at Signature Scuba Diving with watching a brief Video and your equipment fitting. You will then be briefed on basic safety precautions. The Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional in a pool or pool-like conditions first. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills at an additional cost you can go diving to experience an open water adventure. See Below!!
Pool Experience Only: Includes all rental equipment and an instructor supervised dive in the pool. $125 (plus study materials)
If you choose so, during our journey to the beautiful island of Catalina or Laguna's Shaw's Cove, you will learn about the different types of the marine life that you may encounter when we take our dive at California’s famous Casino Point. Your instructor will guide you through the practice of a few simple skills, and then accompany you on an amazing journey. As you enter the beautiful kelp forests, you will see the State of California’s marine fish the Garibaldi. You could encounter many other creatures such as bat rays, horn sharks, Pacific lobster and much, much more.
Catalina Ocean Dive Option: Includes all equipment, transportation, and 3 instructor supervised dives at Catalina Park. $479
How long will it take?
The pool experience will take about two (2) to Three (3) Hours; if you are going to the Ocean as well, reserve a full day!
What will I need?
You will need personal gear (Mask, Snorkel, Fins and booties).
A sense of adventure and your bathing suit / board short.
What can I do after DSD?
As soon as you Discover Scuba Diving, you're on your way to an internationally recognized certification. That's because you may learn skills used in the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Discover Scuba Diving adventure. If you and your instructor elect to practice these skills, they may be credited toward the PADI Open Water Diver certifications.
