The PADI Basic Mermaid™ course at Signature Scuba introduces you to the foundational skills of mermaiding in a fun, structured, and safe environment. Whether you’re completely new to the sport or building on a Discover Mermaid™ experience, this course gives you the confidence and techniques to swim in a mermaid tail with ease.

Located in Rancho Cucamonga, our mermaid courses serve aspiring mermaids from Riverside County, the Inland Empire, Orange County, Greater Los Angeles, and Pasadena. Our certified PADI Mermaid Instructors create a supportive space where both kids and adults can experience the magic of mermaiding—whether for fun, fitness, or future performance goals.

What You’ll Learn:

Proper use of a monofin or mermaid tail

Basic breath-hold and safety techniques

Duck diving, turning, and streamlined swimming

Core mermaiding skills in confined water

Mermaid etiquette and buddy system awareness

Course Details:

Duration: ~3–4 hours (half-day)

Location: Confined water (pool or shallow water environment)

Prerequisites: Must be able to swim; minimum age 6
