Who This Course Is For:

• Certified SDI Open Water Scuba Divers (or equivalent)

• Inland Empire divers ready for a new and exciting underwater experience

• Anyone looking to expand their navigation and situational awareness skills

• Divers interested in photography, marine life, or public safety work at night or in poor visibility

What You’ll Learn:

• Proper use of underwater lights and backup lighting

• Dive planning and navigation in limited visibility

• Communication techniques and buddy procedures at night

• Techniques for entering, exiting, and controlling buoyancy in the dark

• Identifying nocturnal marine life and understanding behavior changes

Course Requirements:

• Minimum Age: 18, or 10 with parental consent

• Prerequisites: SDI Open Water Scuba Diver (or equivalent)

• Academics: Completion of SDI Night/Limited Visibility eLearning or manual

• Dives: Minimum of two open water dives, one of which must be at night
