What set the hook?

My introduction to scuba diving began at a young age, inspired by my older sisters who became certified divers during their college years. As a competitive swimmer throughout high school and college, I was already comfortable in the water, and watching them explore the underwater world sparked a deep curiosity in me.

When it was my turn to attend college, I took scuba diving as a physical education credit—and I was hooked from the very first dive. What began as a course quickly became a lifelong passion.

After graduating, I took a bold step and purchased a dive center in Pennsylvania. It was during that time I set a clear goal: to become a PADI Course Director. That ambition opened doors to diving all over the world, gaining experience in different environments and cultures, and further deepening my love for the sport.

Scuba diving has become more than just a profession—it’s a way of life. It's driven my desire to train others, explore new frontiers, and contribute meaningfully to the diving community both locally and globally.

Goals:

As a dedicated Instructor Trainer, my number one goal is to never stop learning. I firmly believe that continued education is the foundation of being the best possible trainer—and that mindset shapes everything I do in and out of the water.

I’m especially passionate about expanding my teaching in technical diving, instructor development, and public safety diver courses. These areas challenge both students and instructors alike, and I find tremendous satisfaction in watching students overcome those challenges, master new skills, and experience that "aha" moment. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing that confidence click in a diver’s eyes.

On a personal level, I’ve completed over 8,000 dives, spending approximately 291 days underwater—and I’m actively working toward hitting the 300-day milestone in the next few years. It's more than a number—it's a testament to my lifelong commitment to diving and my pursuit of excellence in every aspect of the sport.
