The TransPac XT is our flagship harness, originally designed by Dive Rite CEO Lamar Hires for his early expeditions to the remote karst regions of Japan. On these expeditions, he needed a rugged harness system that would allow him to utilize backmounted doubles and a single tank, as well as sidemount in some of the smaller cave passages. In addition to being an incredibly versatile diving tool, the TransPac was also designed to be comfortable enough to hike tanks thousands of feet through dry cave passage.

Designed like a mountaineer’s backpack, the TransPlate harness disperses weight across the hips and back, minimizing shoulder strain. When used with a 6-pound steel backplate, divers can remove or minimize weight pockets. Adjustable straps adapt to a wide variety of exposure suits and means easy donning and doffing. A lightweight wing designed for single-tank, warm water diving, our Travel series of wings are small-profile and ideal for travel and divers who wear a minimal amount of weight. At 25 pounds (11.3 kg) of lift, the Travel wing can accommodate one 80 cubic foot (12 L) tank with no more than 16 pounds of additional weight.

With its’ donut-shape, the Travel wing provides greater stability and control in the water. Donut-style or 360 degree wings promote an even volume of inflation on top, sides, and bottom, which improves buoyancy control and promotes a more efficient, horizontal trim.

Quickly set up stage, deco, or sidemount bottles without tools using our Travel Stage Straps. Two hose retainers (one deluxe and one standard) and the 1.5-inch low profile cam strap are captured in the stage strap, keeping the entire set up connected as one piece. Adding and removing this kit from cylinders is easy, and losing pieces from the kit is nearly impossible. Use of a cam strap instead of a metal clamp allows divers to quickly set up, adjust, or remove the straps. Marine grade stainless steel medium bolt snaps are used as a lighter weight option for travel purposes. All versions come with a tank choker for sidemount divers who use a stage strap set up on their bottles.
