Enjoy true Olympus or Panasonic LUMIX TTL strobe exposure via fiber optic connection with your compatible Ikelite DS strobe. With the RC1 TTL Receiver and a compatible camera with RC flash mode, actual exposure data is calibrated and communicated directly by the camera. This is far more accurate and consistent than "slave TTL" modes built into some underwater strobes which watch the camera's built-in flash and react.
An individual RC1 TTL Receiver and compatible fiber optic cord is needed for each strobe. Use of two strobes requires two receivers. This product attaches to an Ikelite DS strobe. It is not intended to be attached to a housing and will provide no functionality if attached to a housing bulkhead. This receiver is not compatible with non-Ikelite strobes or non-digital Ikelite strobes.
RC Mode TTL Strobe Exposure
The Sensor makes DS Strobes compatible with the Olympus and Panasonic LUMIX RC flash mode, providing automatic TTL exposure. For accurate performance set the DS strobe to “TTL” and the camera’s flash mode to “RC”. Using the camera’s flash exposure compensation controls to make fine tuned adjustments to the strobe’s intensity.
Manual Strobe Exposure
The strobe's output may be adjusted using the manual power settings built into the strobe (varies by model). Make sure the camera’s flash mode is set to manual. Choose the minimum flash output necessary in the camera to trigger the DS strobe. This will conserve the camera’s battery power.

Unique Sliding Grip
If you're using our slotted arm system the carabiners can be attached in the slots of the two arms closest to the handles, allowing the cable move up and down freely. During transport, slide the cable up the slots so the arms can fold over. Having the strobes and housing hang lower provides a very natural weight distribution similar to a duffle bag. This is ideal when moving the system around, especially when handing it in and out of the water.
After you've comfortably gotten in the water, simply slide the cable down and "spread the wings" of your system. When the dive is over fold the system up during your safety stop and getting back on the boat will be a breeze. SeaLife Sea Dragon Fluoro vs. Harmful UV lights
For BEST results and SAFETY reasons, the Sea Dragon Fluoro-Dual Beam uses Cree Royal Blue LED’s combined with a proprietary dichroic filter. SeaLife NEVER has and never will use Ultraviolet (UV) LED’s.
Some companies are selling underwater UV lights claiming the results are better than blue LED’s, and that there is no need for yellow barrier filter over your mask and/or camera. The truth is that UV lights pose a serious safety hazard to the eyes of humans and sea creatures. UV light is invisible, so you don’t realize that your eye is being bombarded with UV rays. It is a proven fact that extended exposure to UV light has been linked to eye damage, including cataracts, macular degeneration, pingueculae, pterygia and photokeratitis that can cause temporary vision loss.
The Sea Dragon Fluoro-Dual beam’s Blue LED’s, combined with our exclusive dichroic filter, emits a powerful blue light creating the optimal wavelength to excite underwater organisms. To see the fluorescence effect best, two yellow barrier filters are included – one for your mask and another for your camera. The primary purpose of the yellow filters are to absorb the visible excess blue light, so you only see is the fluorescence effect.
